About Us

Meet Dr. Karapet

Dr. Edith Karapet grew up in Southern California and initially pursued a degree in electrical engineering before realizing that her true passion was veterinary medicine. Although she once questioned whether she could handle the emotional demands of the profession, choosing to become a veterinarian became one of the most meaningful decisions of her life.

She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. After graduation, Dr. Karapet developed a strong passion for emergency medicine and has since practiced in the greater New York, New Jersey area, as well as throughout California.

Dr. Karapet is pursuing further education in traditional Chinese Medicine. She is passionate about integrative medicine and loves to combine holistic and Western approaches to provide the best quality of life for pets.

Deeply connected to the human-animal bond, Dr. Karapet considers herself a pet parent first and a veterinarian second. She understands the profound love families have for their animals, and her mission is to support that bond through compassionate, high-quality care that helps pets live happy, comfortable lives alongside the people who cherish them.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Karapet enjoys hiking in the mountains with her spirited dog, Loki, and cozy naps with her Maltese mix, “Good Little Badawg.” She is also entertained by Loki’s playful antics with her two cats, Tristan and Ethan. A lifelong lover of movement and expression, she studied Flamenco dancing for many years and finds deep gratitude in the therapeutic power of yoga, which she shares by teaching hot yoga in her free time.
